Chaka Khan
Chaka Khan, also called the Queen of Funk, is an American singer-songwriter. In her more than fifty-year career the singer has won a total 10 Grammys. Billboard has ranked her as the 65th-most successful dancer of all time. She was introduced to jazz when she was a child. The beginning years of her career, she performed in various bands. Then, in the near future she joined of a group called Rufus. With the group, she recorded her first album around the age of twenty. The group was awarded their first Grammy recognition a year after. She released her self-titled debut album just a couple of years following her solo debut. Through the years she's released other albums including "Echoes of a Time", "The Woman I am" and one song dubbed "Funk This". Beyond her contributions to the music industry, she also gained reputation for her charity work. Chaka Khan Foundation, which she established in order to help children and adults with Autism as well as poor families. Khan is also an actress from time to time. She played her sister Carrie from the show "Mama I'm Wanting to Sing."
