Dua Lipa is an English singer and musician born on August 22, 1995, in London United Kingdom. She decided to sign with Warner Bros Records in 2014 after she was a model and released her self-titled debut album in the year 2017. The album peaked at the number three spot in the U.K. album chart, and featured eight singles with the most notable being U.K. top ten hit song New Rules and Be the One I.D.G.A.F. Lipa was awarded the Brit Award in 2018 as a British Female Soloist and British Breakthrough Artist. The album has been certified platinum in many nations. Dua Lipa was born in London by Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin Lilipa (father). By virtue of her maternal grandmother, she is of Bosnian origin. It is also possible to trace her ancestry through Peja from Kosovo. The two grandparents of Lipa were both historians. She has a brother Gjin Lipa, and a younger sister Rina. The musical influence of Lipa's came from her father who is the guitarist and singer of Kosovan Rock band Oda. Lipa was just five years old when she first began to sing. In just her ninth year she began singing at Sylvia Young Theater School.
